Everybody loves a bargain and internet shoppers are no exception. Just as in the offline world, special offers can really attract buyers. Promoting special offers or time sensitive savings to potential customers is a handy way to ramp up your income through sales and commissions whether you are a Merchant or an Affiliate. This tutorial will take Merchants through the process of listing their special offers on clixGalore and Affiliates through the process of finding those special offers.
Merchants
Making special offers on your website is something that a lot of Merchants do to increase their sales sporadically. A special discount for a holiday like Mother's Day or a 2 for 1 deal are perfect examples of how some Merchants encourage customers to make a purchase. If you employ this strategy on your site (and it is certainly worth thinking about), then it is also good form to let as many of your Affiliates and potential Affiliates know about it as possible, so that they can promote your special offer.
Once you have set up the details of your special offer on your own website, then just log into your Merchant program at clixGalore and go to "Promotional Tools" in the Merchant Programs Menu. Then click on "Add / Edit Customer Special Offers" in the popup sub-menu. On the next page is where you can add the relevant details. Remember that this service is only available to Gold Merchants and above.
Affiliates
As with a Merchant site, an Affiliate site can also benefit from promoting special offers. In fact online special offers are so popular that some Affiliate websites specialize ONLY in finding the best special offers and presenting them to their own visitors. It's therefore something that many Affiliates should seriously consider if they want to get a spike in sales and conversions to the Merchant programs to which they belong.
So, how do you go about finding the best special offers of the clixGalore Merchants?
That's the easy part!
Just log into your Affiliate account and go to "Affiliate Toolkit" in the Affiliate Programs menu and then to "Merchant Special Offers" in the popup sub-menu. That will give you a page of Merchant special offers (you can narrow this list by category if you wish to). From that page you can view the details of the program by clicking on the link in the left hand column - you can also join the program from that page. You can also view the exact special offer by going to the Merchant's site directly by clicking on the link in the right hand column.
After joining a program with a special offer, you will want to notify your visitors of the special offer on your own site. Remember that if you direct visitors to the exact page of the special offer on the Merchant's website, then you will probably get a higher conversion rate as visitors won't need to navigate their way around the Merchant site looking for the offer.
